Video Presentation
Sit back and Relax, while I show you a few slides.
I hesitated about placing these videos at the end or at the beginning of this whole section on Multi-Sensory Therapy. They cover most of the same explanations I gave earlier in this section but more succinctly. They could have been useful as an introduction to Multi-Sensory Therapy for brain repair, or they could be useful as a summary.
You watch and tell me!
1. BRAIN 101
- Welcome!
- The 3 reasons we have a brain.
- Neurons, where everything happens.
- The synapse, where neurons connect.
- Serotonin and dopamine, the keys that open almost everything the brain controls.
- Brain plasticity, or the brain can re-arrange its own structure long after development is complete.
2. Multi-Sensory Therapy IN YOUR HOME
- What does Multi-Sensory Therapy look like?
- An example of a Multi-Sensory Therapy Game: olfactory stimulation.
- Multi-Sensory Therapy changes every two weeks, customized to follow your loved one's progress.
- Another example of a Multi-Sensory Therapy Game: multi-input memory game.
- Self-repair, Multi-Sensory Therapy lets the brain migrate brand new cells from functional areas to areas needing repair.
- The 4 keys to success for brain repair.
3. Training Slides
Claudie Gordon-Pomares gives training workshops to parents doing the Multi-Sensory Therapy for brain repair in their homes. If you are interested, I am posting here the presentation slides for these training sessions.
Feel free to peruse. Again, if you have any questions, feel free to call me or anyone of us at the Centre. :-)
